Can the products be washed in the dishwasher?
Never wash wood in the dishwasher. Dishwashers work with heat and enzymes, which will break down wood over time and may cause cracks.
How should I clean my products?
Rinse after use with water. Wood is naturally antibacterial, so rinsing is generally enough. Optionally, you can use a little bit of dish soap. Avoid heavy scrubbing. Always wipe the wood dry after washing.
Can I soak the products in water?
Soaking wood is generally not recommended. If the wood soaks up a lot of water, it may crack. Soaking is also not necessary. Simply rinse with water.
How can I extend the life of my products?
You can optionally use beeswax every few months to help seal the surface of the wood and protect it from regular use.
What materials are the products made of?
Our kitchenware is made almost exclusively of wood. Indonesian Rosewood, Teakwood and Sapodilla Wood. All wood we use is sustainably sourced.
Can I use wood kitchenware in an oven or microwave?
Don't do this. A microwave will probably cause the wood to crack, because it will quickly bring small pockets of moisture inside the wood to boil and pressure from this internal steam will damage the wood. Don't put them in an oven either.
What kind of finishing/coating does Vivere use?
The only finishing we use is 100% beeswax.

I’m extremly happy with this purchase. It’s worth the money spent. The teak wood is water-resistant and easy to clean. I maintain it with food-grade mineral oil every few weeks.

Sono molto soddisfatto di aver acquistato questo tagliere in legno! Innanzitutto, la qualità e la lavorazione del tagliere sono eccezionali. La superficie è altamente resistente ai colpi di coltello e non mostra segni, ideale per un uso a lungo termine.
È molto facile da pulire; basta un po' di acqua tiepida e sapone. Inoltre, posso mantenere la lucentezza del tagliere applicando periodicamente olio minerale. Grazie alle proprietà antibatteriche naturali del legno, non mi preoccupo dell'igiene.
Una delle caratteristiche che mi piace di più è che per ogni prodotto acquistato viene piantato un albero. Questo approccio ecologico mi ha davvero colpito ed è stato un fattore importante nella mia scelta.
